A pleasant walk around Burbage
valley with an ancient hill fort (Carl Walk) and Higger Tor. On the
other side of the valley are Burbage Rocks, there are extensive views around the
area. Burbage brook meanders down the valley on it's way to the Longshaw Estate and Padley Gorge. |

Higger Tor, the leaning block of gritstone on the right is 40ft high, the rocks at the top overhang by around 15ft. Only the most experienced climbers attempt to climb it. In the distance is Hope valley. |
