Elvaston Steam Rally Derbyshire and the Peak District |

The annual Elvaston Steam Rally
takes place in the wonderful setting of Elvaston Country Park,
there is something for everyone. Steam Engines of all shapes and sizes,
vintage cars, tractors, motor cycles and many more, for the young there
is the fun fair, and many places for refreshments. |

quick visit to the grounds of Elvaston Castle & Country Park, a 10 minute walk from the
steam rally showground, first seen is the lake and Boat House. |

Elvaston Castle is not a castle as you can see, it was built in the early 1800's for the 3rd Earl of Harrington, it was designed by James Wyatt based on the original house dating back to 1633 and is set in over 200 acres of parkland. |
