A short distance after reaching Millers Dale Litton Mill comes into view. The Mill was built in the late 18th century has an infamous past because of the mill owner Ellis Needham's cruelty to the children who worked there, the children often came from the poorhouses in London, many died and were buried in the churchyards of Tideswell and Taddington. It is said that ghosts of some of the children make appearances in and around the mill. Today the mill has been restored and converted into holiday cottages and residential apartments.
