The limestone buttresses of Lathkill Dale

One of many caves to be seen in the dale.

Looking back along the rough track.

At this point the river Lathkill is only a trickle.

Walking through a wooded area the river gets wider.

This area of the valley is probably the most popular.

Several weirs increase the flow of the water.

The village of Over Haddon overlooks this part of the valley.

And from Conksbury bridge (inset bottom left)
you can see Over Haddon village on top of the valley.

As you approach Alport village, the river Lathkill joins the river Bradford.

Walking through Youlgreave, the church is one of the oldest in the country.

Leaving Youlgreave behind there are good views from this picnic area.

Heading towards Cales Dale and One Ash Grange Farm, a view of Lathkill Dale.

Passing through the farm just before Fern Dale on the way back to Monyash.

Monyash, the Bulls Head pub on one corner of the village green.
